By: Divi (and Luna)
Welcome to our pi wars blog! This is team LEAD (an abbreviation of all our names -> Luna, Emmeline, Anika, Divi) and we are in years 8 and 9 at St Paul's Girls' School. This page is just so that you can get to know us! We did write our own descriptions (Luna and I wrote each other's though), they're supposed to be funny. Editor's notes are me though.
The team as a whole:
As a team, we all love computer science and creative teach!! We could all be technically classified as nerds and we wear that with pride (other than Luna who would say otherwise to keep her 'cool' reputation)! We meet every Wednesday after school from 4:15 to 6. We used to have a fifth member but she didn't like us so decided to quit (I'm kidding.. I think) so we had to change our team name from MEDAL to LEAD :(
Luna:
This is Luna, she:
- is our team manager, will be doing 3D design, the artworks and helping with coding, as well as supervising everyone to make sure they don’t spend too much time eating her strawberry laces or in Divi's case drawing/sticking moustaches on herself (editor's note: I'm productive, I swear).
- has been doing robotics for 7 years, since Year 3, and enjoys coding Python
- hates soldering with a burning passion (editor's note: hahaha I'm so punny)
Emmeline:
This is Emmeline, she:
- is insanely tall
- will be helping with robot design, manufacturing (editor's note: I think she means building we aren't based in a factory) and steering in any remote-control challenges because she's the only person in our team who plays video games.
- has been doing robotics since Year 1, for 8 years, and her favourite thing to do in CSCT is website building using HTML (Hyper-Text Markup Language)
Anika:
This is Anika, she:
- is VERY (really very very very extremely unfathomably) short
- is a certified nerd
- She will be doing most of the hardware and will be there for moral support! :)
- She has been coding for 7 years and enjoys Python
Divi:
This is Divi, she:
- is a genius (editor's note: no i'm not - stop spreading lies luna), but unimaginably humble, and she's going to be working on robot design, hardware, coding, blogging and making sure the robot is in line with regulations!
- she has been coding since she joined SPGS and has been doing robotics since she joined this project
- her favourite thing to do in CSCT are soldering and Python coding
We can't wait until Pi Wars (and we're also scared out of our wits)!!
